I’ve been saying this though just once I want a Xena or Game of Thrones or The Witcher with All Black Casts or all POC and like white people can cameo as servants and villains.
Instead we keep getting these Tyler Perry type romance movies, the teach White people about racism content and 10 different versions of Issa’s Insecure…. I’m bored
A black fantasy would give them the highest tv ratings it would beat GOT ratings thats for sure. I feel like there so set in putting us in a box so thats why they refuse to do fantasy with black main characters
They have to keep us out of a lot of markets because if they start to give us room, they’ll be seen for the mediocrity they keep pushing out.
If one of the most popular black fantasy books continues to get support, we’ll definitely get that movie from that book. Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi is the book to movie adaptation we need. It’s like black harry potter but better
